Ditch That Barbecue Grill and Check Out This Outdoor Kitchen Heidi Marshall Jun 20th, 2010 Lifestyle, Weird Science Tweet Image Source: Electrolux.com. Summer is pretty much here and that means it’s time to start planning all those backyard barbecues, picnics and garden parties. While most of your neighbors will probably brag about the latest grill they purchased and thus, provide their guests with the same old experience, you could have the elements of nature and surprise on your side. How? With Electrolux’s new Outdoor Kitchen design. Designed in collaboration with Jamie Durie, the Outdoor Kitchen completely redefines outdoor cooking and entertaining. It includes an Integrated Barbecue and Integrated Burner (both also by Electrolux), is designed to fit any outdoor space, is made from eco-friendly material, and works with already existing garden elements. Durie describes the Outdoor Kitchen as: “An engineered, green entertaining area designed to meet contemporary life. It is not just a piece of furniture or a utilitarian space; it’s an outdoor area designed to draw people out of their houses and into their gardens, where they seem to want to spend their leisure time these days.” In addition to the awesome customization options already mentioned, the Outdoor Kitchen also consists of wooden countertop panels that can be adjusted to provide seating and planter spaces hidden within the design, which allows you to grow herbs, vegetables and other plants right where you’ll need them.
