Green Facades: Simpler Alternative to Living Walls

There is more to living walls than meets the eye; they are complicated things that require pumps, hydroponics and a lot of maintenance. A simpler alternative, known as green facades does not require pumps and technology because the vegetation is planted on the ground and the walls become its growing medium. The green facade is conceptualized by Edouard François. This approach is time-intensive and takes years before you can view the intended design because you have to wait for the plants to grow.
As more people make conscious decisions to live in sustainable-designed spaces, we could all look forward to more innovative living spaces complete with stunning views and vertical gardens. Check out Edouard François’ website for more information.
