Nottingham beats out London as England’s greenest transport city
The top cities in England for green transport include Nottingham, London, Brighton, Hove and Manchester. Nottingham came out top in a study of UK cities that gauged the East Midlands town to be the least dependent on cars and have the best public transport. The CBT, a green lobby group, judged the cities on accessibility and planning; quality and availability of public transport; and how pedestrian and cyclist friendly they are.
