   Pete Bethune is my super hero! Every time I saw his boat I’d shout, “THAT IS MY DREAM BOAT!!!!!”, I really would die for the wales. Just cuz I’m 11(turning 12 on Oct. 13) does not mean anything! For my B-day, I really would like to meet him on the net! Pete should really get a ‘super hero’ cape!!!

   I definately support Pete Bethune’s cause. Everyone has criticism against his actions, but they are the ones that dont believe in a cause and sit on their couches hating on people that take action for what is right. I believe “The Sea Shepard” is doing what others dare not do. Anyone that has any criticism against his actions should not even post a reply because they dont matter in the first place. I support the cause and im willing to help out anyway i can.

   Ok you know what mrsmiagaribaldi, you are probably THE stupidest person I have ever known to walk the earth. I hope a giant whale come and EATS you!!! You would deserve it. I feel so bad for those whale. And all you people who think whaling is ok if it’s for science ( which it’s not, that just an excuse by the whalers ), those whales don’ t know the difference between legal research and cold blooded murder. To them , it’s just plain cruelty. And the Japanese whalers have some pretty cruel methods, like attacking a poor helpless whale calf so that the whole pod comes to it’s rescue. That is just plain DISPICABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

   I am a staunch conservative and an avid supporter of this cause. I’m sure my politics wouldn’t go well on board but my passion to stop this murderous activity would be unmatched. If I had the money, there would be a Sea Sheperd ship called the Steve Gills and if it were a torpedo destroyer I’d be very pleased. .

   Not only Pete, but the ENTIRE Sea Shepherd group from the newest to the oldest are all heroes! Pete has brought a sense of gravitas and swashbuckling grit to the group. I hope he continues with the Sea Shepherds.

   I totally support Pete bethune, he has the guts to try and put a stop to the disgusting japanese hamburger trade, as that is all it really comes down to, it has nothing to do with needing whales for scientific purposes, it makes me angry to see people sticking up for the poor japanese instead of supporting people like pete who try to make a difference in this world instead of just sitting back on the behinds complaining.
   If I had my way we would bomb the japanese whaling boats the minute they hit our waters.

   What exactly is your point MrsMIaGaribaldi? Everyone knows Capt. Bethune doesn’t own Ady Gil. Everyone knows that publicity is what makes the public aware of the Japanese whaling in the Southern Oceans. Everyone knows that what Bethune did was trespassing, but to call it piracy is lunacy! What is your stake in this? How do you make a difference in stopping immoral whaling? You are obviously trying to manipulate everyone who reads this forum. How are you any different? When you write that Bethune deserves all that is coming to him, what exactly were you hoping for? The death penalty? What if he is exonerated and made a hero? What if his act of bravery, risking jail, leads to a demand from the Japanese people to end their countries barbaric practice? Would you then support his act of trespass? With a complete lack of solutions in your post you actually discredit yourself, and it appears you are simply a troll, perhaps hired by some company that profits from whaling. Prove to me otherwise….

Mr. Gil donated approximately $1 million towards the purchase of the world’s fastest boat, enabling the society to advance the cause of anti-whaling activism and directly confront Japanese harpoon ships. His donation was over two-thirds of the cost of the boat, effectively enabling the Sea Shepherd Conservation society to make a purchase that was otherwise out of reach. Ady Gil is also active in his community, and his properties provide a venue for community social and environmental events.

    Whilst I am against the killing of any animal not only whales, I wont be sending any support email for Behune who borded the ship for publicity and publicity only. Do any of you realise that Bethune did NOT own the Ady Gil ? the boat was leased by the Sea Shepherd for $10,000. The owner of the boat was Ady Gil. He bought it and the SS leased it. I have first hand knowledge of this and it will be exposed when the time is right. Bethune and his head honcho devised this laterst act of madness – to board the Japanese ship in rough seas in the dark and eary hours, , it was planned for weeks and contrived. The whole fiasco is for more more more publicity. He knew what he was doing and he asked to be arrested. An AP person was going tofilm this and was on board the jet ski. . unfortunatelty for him and AP /Whale Wars ther rough icy ocean prevented him from filming. The plan then was to =film the ‘arrest’ by helicoptor. What an anti climax. He sat on the deck until daybreak, walked inside there you have it folks. For anyone who doesnt know what n-Butyric acid does , this report from the university of Iowa. You people are blinded by the hype the SS uses to gather those who cant diferentiate between truth and fiction,Its called manipulation and many buy this load of rubbish. Bethune was not the owner of the silly little boat which should not have been in Antarctic conditions, it was leased for $10,000 by captain blood and eveything this mob do is for publicity and YOUR money. There will be more on this as once again the SS honcho is lying. I hope Bethune is convicted for his act of piracy and charged accordingly. This time the publicity stunt might backfire. I hope you will publish this instead of the usual propaganda. Thank you.
