U.S. Army to utilize hybrid cars

As the Army advances its initiative to explore energy-efficient methods of running bases off-grid, it has also tapped Bright Automotive to develop a non-combat utility van to reduce their fuel consumption. A reported $1.4 million contract was awarded to Bright Automotive for the plug-in hybrid van project.
To help electric vehicle development gain momentum worldwide, Bright Automotive has put up a consulting program in terms of design, engineering, energy storage, propulsion, conversion systems to aid other automotive manufacturers towards greener methods of operation. Read the full article here
