Tree Top Dining: No Longer for the Birds

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a bird or squirrel, and eat your meals in a tree? Well, apparently you can find that out for yourself at several very eccentric dining locations. While some may have exotic cuisine, luckily worms and insects are not on the menu.

The United Kingdom has The Alnwick Garden Treehouse Restaurant, located in Newcastle. The restaurant is built to look like a tree house (though personally, I think it looks more like a small castle), and offers local, organic food.  Costa Rica will offer you a breathtaking view of the lush cloud forest of Monteverde from their Tree House Restaurant, Bar and Café. Nestled in the branches of a gigantic Higueron tree, this tropical dining experience will provide you with live music, gourmet food and even Wi-Fi!

If you want to go a bit more extreme, you can always dine from the large bird cage that is the Yellow Treehouse Restaurant of New Zealand. Or you can enjoy some simple afternoon tea and snacks at China’s Tree House Tea.

Whether you prefer to eat your meals with the birds or on the ground, I am sure these restaurants will prove to be a very unique and enjoyable dining experience!
