Tesla provides electric cars for rich mid-lifers

Silicon Valley-based Tesla Motors has opened a showroom in London, England. What they are currently offering are plug-in electric sports cars that can compete with “any in the $100,000 [€ 70,000] range.” The Tesla Roadster can travel 244 miles (392 km) on a single full three-hour charge and can go from 0-60 mph in under four seconds. These are impressive stats for any car, not to mention an electric, and they answer any battery and “umph” issues that may be in doubt when it comes to EVs (electric vehicles). In the below CNN report, Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk states that one of the car maker’s goals is to “provide electric cars that anyone can afford,” though honestly this seems a bit far off from anything the company is producing at the moment. In short, Tesla delivers performance like no other electric car, but at a significantly higher price, especially when compared to bargain urban EVs like the G-Wiz from GoinGreen.
